Give Back to the Community
Whether in body or spirit, we deeply appreciate each of you for coming to our wedding. Your presence is the only gift we could wish for on our day.
Now, we ask that you share your love and support for us with those who could use it in our community. Queer, Non-binary, and Trans people continue to live under unjust oppression by the current administration, and we truly believe we would not be able to wed as gay men if it were not for these members of our community. If you are interested, we would like you to consider a one-time contribution to any of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC non-profit organizations listed below.
However, if any of you would prefer to give us a gift instead, we will accept donations to our honeymoon fund listed at the bottom of this page.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1998. Focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth, it offers a toll-free telephone number where confidential assistance is provided by trained counselors.
Lavender Rights Project
Lavender Rights Project (LRP) elevates the power, autonomy, and leadership of the Black intersex and gender diverse community through intersectional legal and social services. LRP disrupts oppressive systems that target Black gender diverse and intersex communities of color and lead to disproportionate levels of poverty, housing disparities, and gender-based violence, especially among Black and Indigenous people.
Transgender Law Center
Transgender Law Center (TLC) champions the right of all transgender and gender-nonconforming people to make their own choices and live freely, safely, and authentically. Prioritizing BIPOC, disabled, and HIV+ communities, TLC advances community-driven strategies that harness trans knowledge, power, and joy to ensure that we all not only survive but thrive at all ages and phases of life.
Human Rights Campaign
The Human Rights Campaign envisions a world where every member of the LGBTQ+ family has the freedom to live their truth without fear, and with equality under the law. This organization empowers its 3 million members and supporters to mobilize against attacks on the most marginalized people in our community.
Gender Justice League
Gender Justice League focuses on elevating the rights of TwoSpirit, Trans, & Gender Diverse (2STGD) communities in Washington State and beyond through advocacy efforts, direct services, shared leadership development, and the creation of sacred Trans spaces like Trans Pride Seattle.
