What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by August 9th by filling out your RSVP form online at https://ofhemlockandpine.rsvpify.com/ or on the RSVP tab of our website.
Where is the entrance to The Ruins?
The Ruins’ address is 570 Roy St, Seattle, WA 98109. You can use this link [https://maps.app.goo.gl/BWCXhYdRJUyc3zVV9] to view the location in Google Maps. The entrance door is on Roy Street, and there will be both signage and staff directing guests inside the venue.
What is the easiest way to get to and from your event venues? Will you be providing transportation?
Our wedding venue at The Ruins is a six-minute walk from The Maxwell Hotel and accessible via ride-share service. Due to the close proximity we will not be providing any shuttles for guest transportation.
Our welcome drinks event will be held in Capitol Hill and we recommend taking Lyft/Uber to get there from the Maxwell Hotel. Alternatively you can take the monorail from Seattle Center to Westlake Center, and then walk to Stoup Brewing about one mile away. https://www.seattlemonorail.com/
Parking can be difficult in Capitol Hill on a Friday night so we do not recommend driving unless you are familiar with the area.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is eclectic cocktail attire. Shirt and tie required, suit encouraged!. A midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates are also welcome. We’d like for our guests to feel like they’re at an autumnal gala set in Seattle’s yesteryear.
Am I allowed to bring my children or a plus-one?
Due to the size and nature of our venue, we are not able to accommodate young children or plus-ones for our ceremony and reception. Guests are as listed on the invitations.
Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
There is paid street parking in the neighborhood and a paid parking lot across Roy street from The Ruins. However, there is a concert scheduled at Climate Pledge Arena for the same night which will likely cause parking and traffic disruptions. We would recommend leaving the car at home and taking a rideshare service or public transportation.
If you do need to drive and nearby parking is filled up, we suggest using Amazon Obidos/Rufus Garage, and then walking 15 minutes or taking a quick Lyft/Uber to The Ruins.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Yes! If you have a specific dietary restriction or concern, please let us know in the designated section of your RSVP form and we will inform the kitchen. We will also be offering a vegan entrée choice, and have tried to ensure there are gluten free and nut free options on the menu.
